Glyn- 07-11-2005
A little bird told me you find "the goods" up cows back sides...

Graham- 08-01-2005
karting at the outdoor track is off.

despite acctually getting our time slot booked i was told i would need a £200 pound deposit before they could confirm the booking sad.gif mad.gif sad.gif thats just stupid and its none refundable.

so looks like the cramped conditions at dunston is our only option dry.gif

Gav- 08-01-2005
The Dunston one is very good for indoor, I was just looking forward to driving the outdoor again.

Did you book it?

Glyn- 08-01-2005
About the £200 deposit... we are actually going to go aren't we?

If thats a definate yes, then I don't see why we can't pay the deposit (if cash funds are low, I could probably PayPal it)

Lastlap- 08-01-2005
I might be unpacking my orange probans for that weekend! biggrin.gif

My Old Man's birthday, so beer beer beer BBQ beer beer... tongue.gif

villarule- 08-01-2005
ok, glyn has completly confused me tongue.gif

Imma get this straight: £200 non-refundable deposit is ****, so we arent going to the outdoor one and going to the indoor one?

Gav- 08-01-2005
As I discussed with Neil earlier, £200 is too steep for us, any of us (including Neil) to pay, unless we can guarentee numbers. I know for a fact that Neil, Ian, Graham and myself would all attend, but I can't say for sure who else (mostly local) who would be turning up, so £200 deposit, and thus a booking at the outdoor track, is out of the question.

What we have left is:
1) book the indoor track (which I'm leaning towards)
2) book the indoor track if there's no deposit, but check the outdoor track's availability on the night, and use that if possible
3) we don't book either, and just phone up on the night, using either outdoor track or indoor track - advantage: cheaper, and less committing - disadvantage: obviously no guarentee. If both fall through, we watch speedway, or just **** about or something.

Graham said he was going to book the indoor track today, but I've had no confirmation.

On a completely unrelated note: ROFL @ Lastlap - a man seemingly even more drunk than me! biggrin.gif laugh.gif

villarule- 08-01-2005
wasnt there a paintball thing mentiond too?

Gav- 08-01-2005
Yeah, the idea floated around - but that would need booked too.

Ellis- 08-01-2005
im 90% i'll be there smile.gif

Ianwoollam- 08-02-2005
thats just stupid and its none refundable.

Dosn't sound stupid to me, your booking a race track tongue.gif If you decide to book the track and not turn up, they are probably gonna lose out more than £200! They are just covering their asses from idiots who abuse it... (chavs mainly tongue.gif)

villarule- 08-02-2005
Im the same as Dave, 90% I can make it.

I just have to wait and see how much money I get when I get paid and be certain for transport, then thats it smile.gif

Gav- 08-02-2005
Who are you quoting Ian?

Just for the record, yes, the deposit would be fine normally, but unless we had a rock-solid number we could work with, then that's out of the question.

Still waiting on Graham telling me what's happening....
