Wow, I heard on the radio that the north of england/scotland had bad weather but didn't expect it to be quite that wet, complete contrast to zandvoort where it was hot and sunny all day.

You're not having much luck with the weather when you're trackside this year sad.gif

hmm strange. First of all appologies to Graham for not making it, we were too busy on sunday to go, had a few things to do for my grandparents. I am surprised the weather was so bad though, I was between Queensferry (wherethe bridgesare) and North Berwick on the banks of the firth of forth for much of sunday, just accross the bridges from knockhill really, and it was a lovely day, no rain, just a few fluffy clouds and sun.... Having said that, more inland it was very wet, but i remember thinking at the time that you would probably have got away with it, obviously not.

It was strange - as soon as we came away from the circuit it seemed to dry up, with only a bit of drizzle every now and then. I remember thinking we'd made a bit of a mistake... but Dave kept telling us it was still raining really heavily... backed up by Motors when we got back.

Still - I wasn't overly bothered either way personally - I'd happily have stayed, but the weekend wasn't really about watching the racing from my point of view (you all know my opinion on BTCC driving for instance tongue.gif), it was more of an excuse to get together with the guys and having a laugh, and we certainly did that.

Dumfermline (sp) is about 10 miles from Knockhill. It rained non stop from the day before till now.

Go check the TBK forum and watch the accidents. Plato needs kicked out of motorsports for that one. Unforgiveable driving.

Suprisingly I haven't got any bruises on my knees, even though they hurt like bad. But I've found out why my back was hurting so much - the bottom of my right shoulder blade has a good 4" wide, 2" high bruise on it - yeow!

Still, great fun, and yes I would go again biggrin.gif

Glad I stayed at the track though. Ok, it was wet, but we didn't get soaked again, and the racing was pretty good too. After a 680 mile round trip that weekend - I wasn't going to come away quickly lol. Shame we couldn't meet up with Dave again though, but neither me or Kev had his number and we couldn't find him in the grandstands sad.gif

When I got back that weekend I tried to look at the (rather small amount) footage I took on my camcorder, but it seemed it didn't really like getting wet, and prompty chewed the tape up sad.gif

After sitting in the airing cupboard for 2 weeks however, I have managed to get perfect footage of us sitting in the car, and somewhat blocky (so edited it will be slightly interupted) footage of the BTCC race 3 podium that me and Kev saw.

Alls not lost as they say, so I'll edit this one before I do silvy as it'll only be a few mins max.

I think we can do without footage of you taping Dave Liddle taking photos of you recording him tongue.gif
