Brands Hatch falls on Easter Sunday which traditionally is a race-free day
Oschersleben is scheduled for 18th June which is the weekend of both Le Mans 24 and Nürburgring 24 Hours
Istanbul, Spa and Mugello means there are three tracks for two races. Istanbul and Spa have valid contracts with ITR, Mugello hasn't.
Le Mans is in instead of Avignon, but there's only little interest in touringcars in France, and since there could be no French drivers in DTM next year even less people would turn up. Especially at a track like Le Mans that really is somewhere in the sticks.

At least that's what the magazine says, correct me if it's wrong.

It's wrong... very wrong.
Even the 2000 British Grandprix was held over the Easter holiday, and there other races on Easter as well.

Never trust the newspapers eh?
I thought it was a bit strange myself, what with the old Goodwood Easter meetings ect... ah well.
