total opposite approach from me, in karting anyway - get in the lead and never look back. must destroy the opposition tongue.gif

greg: berger said he didn't want to do it, or any other kind of racing after Michele Albereto's death. I wouldn't mind betting that some of the other drivers they asked to participate will have changed their minds now tho - they must've been rejected by so many drivers to end up with salazar and other such f1 'gods' racing tongue.gif

they could get brundle if he's not too busy

I think he'd jump at the chance if it meant he didn't have to spend a race in the same commentary booth as James Allen

Failing that, get him to do a grid walk

I think its important to get some more high profile drivers in if it goes ahead. No offence to the rest of the field, but they just don't compare to Mansell, Emmo and Prost (if he turns up).

Do you think Jackie would have a go at it?

Am I right in beliving that Jackie Stewart has not driven competitively since his retirment? I think the death of teammate Francois Cevert shook him, that and all the other drivers to die in that era.

saw the race this afternoon and it was really exciting to see mansell and the rest again...it's like the commentor of motors tv said "Mansell first, Fittipaldi second, Patrese third...i can't belive i'm saying that! it's like i'm 20 years back!"

the begining was well slow, but it will always be with experienced drivers ("you don't win a race on the first lap" as my dad always say...when i crash) plus, i'm sure they wanted to stay driving for as long as they could, once they're used to the race pack action again the novelty must've gone of and the hardcore racer within took control ph34r.gif

can't wait to see it next year...anyone know on what grounds they'll make the decision, or when?
