oh and keep away from the gendarmies too pls tongue.gif

lol, yeah, we can laugh about that now... but it did go icely quiet in that pug for a bit tongue.gif

Obviously now we need to get a good idea of our number of people for next year.

Andy
Pete
Mike
Martyn
Nick
Ebi
Jim

are probably the for sures smile.gif

Kris &
Thony

are keen

So that's 9 people at the moment.

I'd assume Kris & Thony would make their own way from Holland to France, which could potentially give 4 cars worth of storage.

Coming back to the gazebo point, we'd deffo need 2-3 at least imo, because just 1 got a little bit tight at times, especially when it was really hot and the sun at it's most powerful moments, not everybody could get shade from it.

cant u guys just pick us up on your way? it only is a small detour and you'll get to see some dutch...

biggrin.gif tongue.gif

we'll use our own car smile.gif

btw, how do you make the crossing, by boat, train, swimming, plane?

J i m- 10-20-2005
From the uk we either use a ferry from Dover to Calais, or the Chunnle tunnle.

Ebi- 10-20-2005
i swim to uk then get boat to le france land

J i m- 10-20-2005
Then we get lost on the old Rouen F1 track to see a "bit of road"

Seriously guys it's must, you'd regret if you didn't take the pilgrimage smile.gif

Ebi- 10-20-2005
Seriously
I was thinking if we can stop in Normandy beach were the d-day happened, id love to see that place smile.gif

Motaworld- 10-20-2005
I think the plan for next year was to go on tuesday so we'd have plenty of time for things like that smile.gif

Andrew_S- 10-20-2005
what day did we go this year? I thought that was just about the right amount of time, camping for much longer especially in the heat that we usually have at Le Mans, might be a bit much

As for rouen, it may be really funny jim, but maybe you should have a little bit of respect, and appriciation that a few people did actually want to go and have a look, those people know what the road looks like, and had talked about going to have a look for several years. It may just be a peice of road to you, but to others it might mean more.

It was a bit rushed on wednesday when we got there though.
IIRC we did talk about going on a tuesday afternoon ferry next year so we don't have the early start and Mike, Jim etc won't have to sleep on the floor overnight.

Andrew_S- 10-20-2005
fair enough, going in the afternoon ferry though may be a bit late, though?

And you're the only one taking it seriously Andy.

Stop taking things as insults when they are not aimed as insults. Honestly, you didn't hear Mike complaining when you decided to rip the **** at him being drunk did you. Join in the banter properly for goodness sakes it goes both ways.

Motaworld- 10-20-2005
Wouldn't of thought so. There's no hurry on tuesday just need to get there by around 10, before it gets dark.

Ebi- 10-20-2005

I've still got a dead arm and numb neck from that sofa laugh.gif

Anyhoo... So it looks like about 9 of us, which means a slightly bigger ****up (as long as Ebi stays awake for it this time tongue.gif )

3 cars from the uk this time? Time to start debating who should drive.
