Well, they managed to kill off 2 of the 3 corners worthy of note... nice... Palmer said that he wanted it to hold a major internation event within 3 years (presume it's in that article too), but what can you see taking place there? FIA GT isn't gonna pay a visit, no way on earth will you get the LMES there... WTCC is a long shot at best, and A1GP isn't gonna be happening... what is he hoping to attract?

These stupid hairpin like additions seem to be the only thing all these new "track updates" consist of these days, and they **** me off so much. They completely destroy the flow of a track

R.I.P 'Russell' Chicane, 'Coram'....

Sad to see the loss of Russell, always got lots of action there. Palmer has often said that he hates the corner and now it looks like it's going
Mike, get more photos like this while you still can!
Not had time to read the article that's in this weeks MN yet I'll comment more after I have.

as gav said what international races could they have there?
I really cant think of anything apart from say f3 euroseries or renault thingy (cant remember name) that takes place as support for fia gt wtcc and those series i dount would get more people in than a round of btcc so i dont really see the point.
Plus they are just adding harpins which are boring and pretty unchallenging for a driver.

Oh yeah, I've seen this. I'm in two minds really, it's great that my (reasonably) local circuit is having all this done to it, but the actual circuit layout itself I'm not sure about yet. Can't quite see how it's going to work, I can imagine it being a bit of tight squeeze, not sure if there'll be room for the various run-off areas needed for big international events!

we could turn it into the uk monaco style track with barriers right next to track if not enough run off space

Yeah, the resemblance between Snetterton and Monaco is amazing...

Most intelligent posting.... ever.
Now with irony mode switched off...
Mike, you'l have to inform me of some of the test days at Snetterton coming up next year, I think I ought to get some of that in my archives.
