Same as last year I guess when Lamy was a backup for the first and driving the second car.

Looking at the photos, I'm gutted I'm not there. Hopefully I'll have more luck with my Uni schedule next year.

too be honnest the nurburgring 24h strikes me more as a club event than a high level motorsport event, having said that it still looks good, but the point being, i really cant see much possability of seeing anything but in the spectator area's and such, just think, say how long it takes to walk at le mans from the chicane to tetre rouge, and thats on a specific spectator area, 95% of the track would be virtually unaccessable and impossable to get to, added to that, its 24h of what? if i saw a 24h race it would have to have some purpose, someone or something to root for, and some way to follow it, i seriously doubt the above is the case at this event, and i dont really see the appeal myself

1h20 to go in the second session and the fastest cars are well into the 8 mins now. The #6 Biturbo 996 is leading with 8:30, the #46 911 is second with 8:37, #1 BMW third with 8:45. #2 BMW GTR apparently just stalled somewhere near Kesselchen. EDIT: They collided with an Alfa GT, neither car can continue.

Not really a suprise that this car's on pole. The two BMW's, the two Zakspeed Vipers, the Manthey Porsche... yep, the favourites are there smile.gif

220 cars are allowed for the race which means that four unlucky teams are out -- namely two Minis, a BMW 320d and an Opel Astra Kombi.

Race starts tomorrow at 15:00 CEST. If anybody can get DSF, they're broadcasting live for six hours throughout the 24 hours. I'm probably gonna get some clips ready for y'all again smile.gif

Weather forecast isn't exactly good. Rain probability is 90% for Sat afternoon, 80-90% for the night and 90% for Sun morning. Temps are between 4 and 8 C.

Start should have happened by now but it was decided to do another formation lap due to extreme weather (torrential rain, and a hail storm from Kesselchen to Pflanzgarten). Oh and we might get snow fall during the night.

The Alzen Porsche 996 has serious problems, they came into the pits after one lap round the GP track, did another lap on the GP track, came in again, did another lap, came in again etc.

#2 BMW was in front until a few minutes ago when they suffered a puncture at the RF wheel. #1 is now leading from the #46 Porsche.
